Day 17 in PICU. Amber had a rough night. She has been sleeping all morning since they raised her meds to make her feel better. She gets a fever off and on.
My favorite doctor is back. YAY!!!!! He spent a lot of time with me again this morning. I was so discouraged, but he has made me feel better. She will be going off the vent first thing Monday morning. She will get a scope done to make sure those muscles are ok. If they aren't, they recommend a trach. We absolutely do not want a trach. (I know, I know. A change from my temporary insanity last week.) If the muscles are ok, she will get the dreadful mask to help her stay off the ventilator.
Please pray for:
--her muscles to be strong and work right, especially in her facial/throat area.
—the source of her fever to be found and/or eliminated
—guidance for the doctors with no mistakes made
--her lungs to stay open and clear

I am standing on God's promises. I am believing. I have hope. She can do this. Thank you for continuing to pray....I'm counting on you. smile emoticon
