Thoughts on Amber Being With Jesus-1.13.15

As you can imagine, I have had some deep thoughts in the last week. Just a week ago this morning our girl left us to be with someone better. I ask myself what sin(s) has Amber ever committed. Think about it. I don’t believe we ever visibly saw her sin. Now, I know she has because the Bible tells us so. But Amber was about as innocent as they come.
Romans 3:23
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”
But it really got me to thinking. I am comforted to know that many of us in our family have walked through praying with Amber to ask Jesus into her heart over the years. I know she heard the gospel message many times in kids church. So I have to be confident that she did make a decision to follow Christ and is with him now. I most certainly prayed with her daily over and over in the hospital. When we were alone, Jesus was mentioned almost every time she woke up.
Not only that, it is my belief that God wouldn’t hold Amber as accountable as you or I because of her precious simple mind. You see, although Amber totally knew what was going on, her thoughts were not like ours. Amber was not nor would she ever be sad she wasn’t invited to a party or not married. Amber’s mind just didn’t work that way. She lived in the moment for sure! Daddy was the only man she needed! (Although if you were at her service, you would know she had a few boyfriends that came out for all to know!)
I am not naive enough to know that just because Amber was “a good person” that she is in heaven with Jesus. There really is more to it than that. If you don’t agree or understand, just ask me. My answer won’t be just my own thoughts, but it will be based on what The Bible says. We have been given a gift. We just have to receive and accept it.
Ephesians 2:8
"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,"
Thank you for walking this journey with us. The love and support is overwhelming. I am still thankful for the blessings in the midst of the storm. There are many.
Psalm 95:2
“Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!”
